Well, that was exciting. Just when I thought I was getting on top of my to-do list– hacked blog! But luckily nothing important was damaged– other than my plans for Wednesday evening. Consider this your reminder to always back everything up.

Now, on to some things I’ve been wanting to tell you about:

  • THIS VERY COMING WEEKEND I’ll be speaking on a panel at Imagine a Story, a conference for children’s writers, illustrators and performers in Montreal. It’s a day-long conference and the list of workshops for creators at all career levels is really wonderful, so I’d encourage you to check it out if you’re in town and interested in career development.
  • The Y-Eh! blog tour continues! This week I’m visiting the blogs of not one but two great Canadian YA and Middle-Grade authors:
    • On Claudia Osmond‘s blog, I respond to questions like:

Q: What inspired you to take your first steps into the wide unknown realm of writing your very first book?
A: Would you believe, boredom? …

    • And to Peggy Dymond Leavey‘s questions, I answer stuff like

Q: What do you like to read today?
A: I have to have something to read at all times. If there are no books I’ll even read takeout menus and the backs of cleaning products…
