“Reason to mention E. Lockhart” meme

I don’t normally get involved in Blog memes because I like to think of mysef as a) lazy and b) an island. But this one comes from E. Lockhart’s blog, and I’ve been wanting to mention her anyway, because I recently read her latest book, The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks– a rousing indictment of Old Boys Clubs I just can’t recommend enough. If you’re looking for a summer read that is both a quick and fun page turner and a thinker, The Disreputable History is the book you want.

The meme:

    • attempting to date a very silly boy, making myself even sillier in the process
  • What are 5 things you need to do today?

  • What are some snacks you enjoy?
    • Bread slathered in tasty, tasty Earth Balance vegan margarine (No one said the snack had to be healthy, or that you had to be proud of it. I’m being honest here.)
    • Fruit? I’m trying
    • Cupcakes baked from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World
    • Copious quantities of hummus
    • Ibuprofen
  • What would you do if you were a billionaire?
    • Buy a small and wonderful house or apartment
    • Ensure a secure retirement for my parents and the rapper’s parents
    • Have a kid and not worry about it.
    • Help my brother and his girlfriend reach goals of their choosing
    • Travel more
    • Voluntarily make websites only for people who really need and deserve them
    • Keep writing
    • Give money away to all the causes that really need it– enviro, literacy, numeracy, disaster relief, etc…
  • What are 3 bad habits?
    1. Procrastination
    2. Stage fright
    3. Jumping to conclusions
  • Name 5 places you have lived.
    1. Wysteria Lane

    3. The intersection of invisible and dangerous
    4. Coolmine Rd., from whence much cool was mined
    5. Converted warehouse loft space to be torn down to build fake loft spaces and a towering ghetto-of-the-future
