Surprise! And happy October 27th, the kickoff of my week off– a week in which I will probably work as much as or more than I usually work, just entirely on my own projects and not at all on anyone else’s. This is what passes for freedom around here.
For about a month now, I’ve been working on a new design for this site. I’ve been itching for something a little fresher, that will tie in better with the release of my upcoming novel, and afford more room for expanded features. Today, after some light testing in IE, I decided it was ready to launch.
This will be the first of many upcoming enhancements, and I’m really excited about all the good stuff to come. I hope you like it, but should you happen to notice anything wonky with the new design, I’ll be very grateful if you let me know about it in the comment thread (be sure to mention which browser and OS you’re using). I’ll do my best to fix any bugs as they come up.

the text in the banner is hard to read with the graphic underneath. then again, crappy explorer due to work. honest, i preferred the older layout. was easier to navigate, but maybe that’s just ease and familiarity. “feet”, in 2-left [i assume it’s feet, would seem the obvious joke] is two squares.

The layout is actually identical, Andrew. Everything’s in the same place it was before! There are just a couple of extra things here and there, like at the bottom of the page. What Explorer are you on? 6, probably? I’m re-testing for 6 next week. You should notice some improvements then.
I don’t know what the deal is with those special characters in the About box. It’s a text encoding issue. For some reason, the header is not taking to UTF-8. Thanks for pointing it out.
