Why cold, sunny Sunday afternoons were invented

This post is for La S., who’s been on the verge of fainting with anticipation for the Green Tea cupcakes we made the weekend before last to become internet-famous. They’re from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World, and they are virtually my last memory from before I went from sick to sicker and all but disappeared from the Internet. I wouldn’t have it any other way because the conversation after we tasted the first baked, cooled, iced and decorated cupcake went something like this:
Me: Mmm. Good.
La S.: So Good.
Me: Like really, good.
La S.: Good, like, like…
Me: Just like, so so good.
La S.: So Good.
Me: Good, good, good-good.
La S.: Why did we want to share one cupcake again?
Me: I dunno. Better have another one. To even out the batch.
La S.: For symmetry.
Me: [Raising another half cupcake] To symmetry!
La S.: So good.

that is a be-utiful looking cupcake. And I do like the green tea. Hope you are feeling better!
Yay! The cupcakes have made it to the blog!
They really were really good.
Subway post was funny.
I AM feeling better. And the cupcakes were worth the expense of the matcha powder.
glad you are feeling better!
those cupcakes DO look like, really, really, so, so, good. yum.
So, remind me again why you refused a bake-off? On appearance alone, those cupcakes take the, uh, cake!
Perhaps we can lure you into making them for our next party!
I refused the bake-off because being forced to bake competitively would take the joy out of making things for people out of kindness and friendship.
