Magic Loaf Studio
Someday, I’m going do a bunch of research into cultural and religious vegetarianism. Around the world, what people are vegetarian, why, and what is their particular cuisine like?
One such group are Seventh Day Adventists. I don’t know much about them except that they’re vegetarian and seem to be very loafy and casseroley by culinary nature.
I’m not big on loaves of anything except bread, but I can’t help loving this:
Jennifer McCann, of Vegan Lunchbox fame recently took an SDA cooking course, where she was given a form that allows you to create a loaf out of the staple ingredients you already have on hand by ticking off ingredients from a list.
Jennifer has taken it one step further by putting the form online, in the, er, form of the Magical Loaf Studio. (Say it with reverb.) It’s awesome. Just plug in the ingredients in your cupboard, hit submit, and voila! Your own custom Seventh-Day-Adventist style loaf.
It’s cheap. It’s easy. It’s nutritious. It goes great in sandwiches. Plus it’s called The Magical Loaf Studio. I may yet be remade in the image of a loaf person.
