As you walk towards it, it gets closer to you!

ING ads have always been a little weird to me. They make claims about offering spectacular things, and then when I look into it it’s like ‘OK, so it’s a savings account…’ But I think they’ve really gone off the deep end with this new slogan:

“The more you deposit, the more youâ??ll SAVE!”

Stop the presses! Are they trying to tell me that the less money I spend, the more money I will keep?

Are people really so clueless that somewhere, this is striking someone as news? If so, why isn’t personal finance a weightier core subject in high schools across the land?

you’re talking about the people who gave us the orange account… where you would have–with mighty ING interest–over 1,000$ if you contributed 20$ a week for a year. yes, that really was the advert.
